Malasaña and Chueca (3 mins.)

Tribunal station is located 80 yds. from the hotel, connecting with metro Line 1 (sky blue) and Line 10 (dark blue). Tribunal and Chueca are two traditional areas in Madrid for tapas restaurants, bars and terraces. In the area around Plaza de España, you can also find many restaurants that serve cuisine from around the world (Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Turkish…).

Madrid History Museum (1 min.)

Situated on calle Fuencarral, in the building of the Royal Hospice of San Fernando, the Madrid History Museum, which was the old Municipal Museum, houses an interesting tour through the history of the capital of Spain since it was declared as such in the 16th century, including numerous pictorial, sculptural and decorative items.

Museum Of Romanticism (2 mins.)

A walk through the art, history and cultural of Romanticism in Spain through an original collection consisting of drawings, lithography, fans, miniatures, etc. The museum is located at calle de San Mateo, 13.

Gran Vía (9 mins.)

Known as Madrid’s Broadway, this emblematic avenue is a must-see for all those who are visiting the Spanish capital. Gran Vía, which starts on Calle Alcalá and finishes in Plaza de España, is home to many fashion boutiques, restaurants, bars, theatres, bookshops and emblematic buildings such as Metrópolis or Palacio de la Prensa. Gran Vía metro station connects with metro Line 1 (sky blue) and Line 5 (green).

Puerta Del Sol (12 mins.)

This traditional square of Madrid is home to the so-called kilometre zero, the starting point for all the national roads radiating out from here, as well as the famous statue of the bear and the strawberry tree, a ymbol of the city par excellence. Other major sights are the equestrian statue of Carlos III and the casa del reloj (clock tower), from which the bells are rung to bring in the new year every 31 December. Sol station has links with Metro lines 1 (light blue), 2 (red) and 3 (yellow) and with train lines C3 and C4.

Thyssen Museum (17 mins.)

A famous Madrid art gallery whose permanent collection exhibits artistic works by international artists, dating from the 18th century to well into the 20th century. The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is situated at Paseo del Prado, 8.

Prado Museum (25 mins.)

This is one of the most important museums in the world and is noted for its presence of European artists of international renown, such as Goya, Velázquez, Tiziano and Rubens, as well as other painting geniuses. It is situated at number 23 of calle Ruiz de Alarcón, within the so-called Triangle of Art.

Reina Sofia Museum (25 mins.)

The National Museum Reina Sofía Centre of Art is the place recommended for enjoying jewels of 20th century and modern art, with artists such as Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso. It is situated at Calle de Santa Isabel, 52. The closest Metro station is Atocha (line 1, light blue).

Temple Of Debod (20 mins.)

Declared a Cultural and Historical Heritage Site, the Temple of Debod dates back 2200 years and was a gift from Egypt to Spain in thanks for having contributed to save the Nubian temples (in danger after the onstruction of the Aswan dam). The temple is situated at Plaza de España, next to Paseo del Pintor Rosales.

Almudena Cathedral (20 mins.)

Built between the 19th and 20th centuries, it is a combination of neoclassical, neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque features. It is the only cathedral in Spain to be consecrated by a Pope. It is situated next to the Royal Palace.

San Miguel Market (20 mins.)

Situated in the square of the same name, next to Plaza Mayor, San Miguel Market offers you the opportunity to buy market produce, as well as enjoy traditional tapas with a wide and varied range of cuisine.
